How to learn Phrasal verbs quickly and naturally (Flashcards included)

This blog entry is dedicated to my friend Bruno from Brazil. πŸ™πŸ»

I know that learning Phrasal verbs is not easy because they are combined with propositions and you find it not easy to know what they really mean. But here are tips to learn them in an easy and simple way.

1. Focus on one verb for a long time.

For example take (come) and find all the Phrasal verbs with (come) and study them over a long period of time. This way you’ll find that they’re stuck and easier to be remembered.

Common mistake: studying many verbs at the same time.

2. Write your own sentences.

Take the Phrasal verbs and make sentences of your own. In this way you’ll attach it to personal things or events in your life.

Common mistake: relying on the example sentences.

3. Use

Quizlet is an app for making flashcards. And this way you’ll make sure that you can practice them for days.

I’ll post some flashcards of Phrasal verbs every now and then. Here is one that I created: (click here) and don’t forget to apply the tips.

Let me know if you find the flashcards useful I have lots of them. πŸ˜ƒ
